Case Studies

James

When James and I began working together, our main goal was to rebuild his self-confidence. At his previous job, his colleagues had become adept at undermining him, causing him to second-guess every decision he made. Over time, this constant doubt led him to question his own skills and professional worth.

In our sessions, we focused on unpacking what had gone wrong — from both his and others’ perspectives. We explored what he had learned about himself through the experience, how he had demonstrated resilience, and how he could use that insight to avoid similar situations in the future.

Through thoughtful conversations and targeted exercises, James gradually began to regain his confidence. Step by step, he rebuilt his sense of self, eventually feeling ready to apply for a new job — and he got it.

From there, we shifted our focus to helping him feel confident in his new role. As a manager of a three-person team, he wanted to lead with clarity and authenticity, ensuring alignment not just with the company culture, but also among his team members themselves.

James truly stepped up. He committed to the hard work of change, digging into both his past and present to find the tools he needed to maintain his confidence moving forward — regardless of external challenges.

A few months after our last session, we caught up. He was thriving. He loved the new job, had great colleagues, and felt energized by leading and supporting his team. Most importantly, he was learning and growing by helping others — a true sign of his progress.

Alicia

Alicia was my first client, and her transformation remains one of the most remarkable I’ve ever witnessed. We first met while I was completing my case studies during my Diploma in Life Coaching, and although I've only worked with a handful of life coaching clients since, Alicia's journey is one I’ll always be incredibly proud of.

When we began working together, Alicia was caught in a cycle of unhealthy habits and trapped in a toxic relationship with someone who never truly appreciated her. We decided to focus on building her self-worth — helping her recognize her value and align her feelings and actions with that belief. Shifting deep-rooted core beliefs is never easy, but it is absolutely possible.

Alicia started making smart, intentional changes. She began recognizing moments when she was overthinking, feeling overwhelmed, or slipping into what she used to call a “self-pity party.” Identifying the root of these patterns took time, honest conversations, and a few coaching techniques — but more than anything, it required creating a space where she felt safe, seen, and supported.

Over time, she made bold moves: she ended the unhealthy relationship, broke free from her cycle of destructive habits, and distanced herself from people who weren’t truly her friends. She began focusing on her own well-being and future.

Today, Alicia is in a healthy, committed relationship, is a proud mother to a two-year-old daughter, and runs a thriving business. She now has the tools and mindset to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity. I can’t put into words how proud I am of her. The fact that we’re still in touch and I get to see her continued growth firsthand makes it all the more special.

Ana

I met Ana while I was working on my case studies for my Diploma in Life Coaching. At the time, she was struggling with Imposter Syndrome and felt stuck in a cycle of chronic procrastination — especially when it came to working toward her life goals. Two of her greatest passions were travel and photography, and she dreamed of turning them into a career.

But instead of working on her own dreams, Ana was stuck in a 9-to-5 job. In her free time, she poured her energy into helping others with their projects, while neglecting her own. Even though she took stunning professional photos, she didn’t feel confident enough to share them publicly or showcase her work.

I often say Ana was one of my most challenging clients to “crack,” but also one of the most rewarding. Early on, she expected me to give her all the answers and tell her exactly what to do. It took a bit of time, but eventually, she came to understand that my role wasn’t to make decisions for her — it was to help her think differently, question her limiting beliefs, and provide a safe space where she could truly be heard.

Near the end of our coaching journey, Ana began to open up and take her first real steps forward. And once she started, she didn’t stop. She began shifting her mindset, sharing her talents with the world, and taking small but meaningful steps toward building the life she wanted.

Today, a few years later, Ana has left her corporate job behind and now runs her own photography business. She helps women learn how to take professional photos while traveling in beautiful places like Marrakesh — combining creativity, empowerment, and adventure. She’s also involved in several organizations that support women and work toward closing the gender gap.

Watching Ana step into her power and build a life around her passions has been nothing short of inspiring.

John

John works at an IT company that’s part of a larger investment corporation. When he came to me, he had a clear goal: to build his self-confidence at work so he could confidently ask for a well-deserved salary raise.

We focused our sessions on helping John distinguish between what he could and couldn’t control in his workplace. We explored ways he could increase his visibility without stepping too far outside his comfort zone, especially since he doesn’t enjoy being in the spotlight. We also touched on presentation skills and discussed how his thoughts were shaping his feelings and behaviours.

Like all of us, John still has a few ongoing areas he’s working on, but the progress he’s made has been impressive. He’s now actively contributing to important projects, has found his voice within the team, and is making a meaningful impact without needing to constantly highlight his own efforts. He’s also taken initiative to improve work processes for the entire department.

With his growing self-confidence complementing his hard work, John was well-prepared for his performance review — ready to speak up and ask for that long-awaited raise. But he didn’t have to. His manager informed him that not only was he getting an 15% salary increase, but he was also being promoted.

John is still working on how he handles certain situations at work, but the growth he’s shown over the past months has been remarkable.
